About Hope Restored Ministries
- Who is Hope Restored? Hope Restored is a ministry of Center City Church in Altoona, PA. We are a team of lay counselors trained to provide biblical counseling. Please note that we are not mental health counselors, and this is not a professional mental health service.
- What do you do? We provide biblical counseling grounded in the principles of God’s Word.
- Who do you serve? We serve families, individuals, and married/engaged couples seeking guidance and support through a biblical lens.
- Can children/teens receive biblical counseling? Yes, we provide counseling for individuals ages 6 and up. Younger children will be considered, depending on their understanding and communication level.
Counseling Process & Logistics
- Do you take insurance? No, we do not take insurance. Hope Restored is a donation-based ministry. We have found that when those being ministered to value what they receive, there is greater success in the outcome of our efforts. By taking the opportunity to sow financially, you also demonstrate your commitment to the healing process.
- What is the suggested donation for a session? A recommended donation of $45 per 45-minute session is requested of participants. However, individual arrangements can be discussed with staff as they arise.
- Do I need to attend Center City Church to receive counseling? No, you do not need to attend Center City Church to receive counseling. We serve the community of Altoona and surrounding cities (and beyond via video conference). We are committed to working alongside your pastors to help you receive the care that you need. We do ask that you attend a church while in our counseling program. If you are not connected to a church body, we can help you find a church that is right for you and your family.
