We Believe In This Community
We are located in the center of the city for a reason. We believe that a revival in Christ is happening here in Altoona.
Our outreach and mission are to be part of that revival. You may see our church community members serving the city in a variety of ways.
First, we encourage all members to get involved in the community. That may mean starting prayer groups at their place of work, volunteering for various community non-profit projects, serving on boards and committees, and stepping up when and where faith-based leadership is needed.
We focus on being part of one church body. Our church leaders meet and pray with other churches throughout this community. We strive to support their outreach efforts through financial and volunteer support.
We look for projects. We support our church community when they are called to serve. We welcome members to CCC to bring projects, and society needs to our attention. We will both pray and support in the way that we are called to support those projects.
We focus on youth. We continue to support the mission of The Joshua House with hopes to expand into Altoona, PA, and surrounding areas. We have personally seen the success stories that come out of a focus on youth, and we have an active youth ministry.
We support small groups. We urge our members to create and engage in small groups. These groups gather to study the word of God, pray for the mission of our Church, and to get involved in volunteer activities as a family. We strongly believe that our focus should not be Sunday service – but should be how we serve every day. Small groups continue to Church’s mission throughout the week and into our circles of influence.
Please get involved. You will notice that our motto is Love. Serve. Repeat. We take this to heart as we serve one another, our city, and the city-wide Church.
