Protect your vision.
As we continue to dig into the topic of vision, we have to look at how we can come under attack when we begin to move forward with God’s plans and purpose for our lives.
Remember, vision is implanted into your spirit, soul, mind, will, and emotions by the working power of the Holy Spirit. Oswald Chambers did a great job of reminding us what happens when vision begins to become real to us.
“We always have a vision of something before it actually becomes real to us. When we realize that the vision is real, but is not yet real in us, satan comes to us with his temptations, and we are inclined to say there is no point in even trying to continue. Instead of the vision becoming real to us, we have entered into a valley of humiliation.”
To deal with that you MUST know, believe, and speak God’s promises. The Word gives us precisely what we need to deal with satan. We can’t give him the power to destroy our purpose. Instead, we turn to Ephesians and speak aloud God’s promise. In Ephesians 1:16-19, we can read aloud and insert our own names and that of our family members. God loves hearing us use the Word as a weapon because that is why He gave it to us. He equips us not only with our vision but with the weapons to see it through to the end. We just have to know what to do.
We can stand as a community saying together,
May the eyes of our understanding be enlightened; that we may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power!!
