Come to the Living Water!

In John Chapter 4:10, we read about the woman at the well,

Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”

What is the living water Jesus is talking about?

Jesus had a word of knowledge for this woman, and he ministered to her. Afterward, she could not help but run and tell her community about Jesus. It’s the same for us when we can not help but speak about the things we have seen and heard. It was the same for her then – when Christ spoke into the depths of her being and set her free from shame.

People in bondage are set free from the Word, then and now.

The woman at the well was so changed that she ran and spread the Word. She ran to the men that shamed her and crushed her and said come and see a man who told me everything about my life. Could he be the Messiah?

That Living Water is a fountain that will spring up into everlasting life. It is supernatural repentance and forgiveness that allows us to leave everything of what we once were to become what we are now.

In John 7: 37 – 38, we learn,

“On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”

There are two identifications here – one, where the Holy Spirit pours out in you, and two when you sincerely believe there is a stream that is everlasting and constant that flows up inside of you. The second process can be painful, but we (want to go through it because we) know that God works all things for the good for those who believe.

God will constantly get us to where we need to go.

The struggle is with control. We want it our way. The problem can be whether we are willing to let go of control. The Word teaches us that if we knew the gift of God before us, we’d believe.

That’s where Jesus invited the woman of the well (in). The difference between a born-again believer, a proselyte, and a God-fearer is clear. The Roman Centurian was a God-fearing person. Someone who is God-fearing stays away from going entirely in and keeps their cultural ways. The woman at the well threw it all away and jumped in completely.

Her eyes were opened!!

In this hour, ask God to give us eyes to see. Ask to get to KNOW Him. I say KNOW in capital letters because that is the differentiation. Recognize that Jesus invited the woman to KNOW him and to have her eyes opened.

This can happen more than once. He continually opens our eyes. It’s a spiritual act that takes place fluidly. We can talk about those around us who don’t see, but the question is, where are you in this?

Are you asking him to remove the veil from your eyes?

We are often afraid of the junk inside of us.

That’s true.

But Jesus already paid the price. He became sin so that we could be free. We don’t need to bear iniquity, regret, fear, or anxiety. Jesus set free those in captivity just like He did for the woman at the well.

It wasn’t just her – the whole city at that moment unlocked—every person counts.

True worshippers MUST worship Him in spirit and truth. To do that, your eyes MUST be open. And your eyes won’t open until you truly walk in forgiveness and repentance.

The woman at the well was transformed. Just as we can be, it’s then that the streams of living water can flood within us. Jesus ascended to release that Holy Spirit for ALL OF US. So we can be endued with power – His passion.

That fountain may be going, but until the stream gets flowing, you won’t truly understand His power. Only then can you be His witness.

How exciting is this message?

God has a calling for all of us. For every SINGLE person. Are you on fire for Him? There are a lot of people who NEED to hear this Word and who need to choose to follow Jesus. We are part of the mission to restore the earth to His Kingdom.

May His Kingdom come and His Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

Living water is everlasting life. It’s for those who believe in Him and open themselves to receive the streams of living water. Out of our innermost being, springs of living water will flow continuously.

Maybe we need to unblock that flow – so we can receive Psalm 23, and then goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our life: and we will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Let’s dive into those living waters and experience abundant life right now!
