Win your thoughts

We all can struggle with our thoughts at times.

We all can struggle with the ways of the world at times.

They become so real and powerful.

However, in 2nd Corinthians 10:1-6, we learn,

By the humility and gentleness of Christ, I appeal to you—I, Paul, who am “timid” when face to face with you, but “bold” toward you when away! I beg you that when I come, I may not have to be as bold as I expect to be toward some people who think that we live by the standards of this world. Though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. ”

Doesn’t this address how to deal with chaos all around us? Arguments and things against God ARE all around us. We have to take these thoughts captive and not give in to dwelling in negativity and darkness. There will also be generational strongholds and chaos. We live in a world where people don’t know whether they are boys, girls, or even animals.

So, how do you stay steady amidst that?

We must bring every thought, argument, and exalted thing into the obedience of Christ. To bring them into obedience of Christ means that they must line up according to His commands and Word. When we take thoughts captive, we slow down the process and evaluate each thought and argument according to what God says about them.

When we listen to negativity spoken over us or turn to the things we shouldn’t, the enemy begins to speak (as our thoughts) even louder.

But our God is greater. Turn to Him and take those words captive. You are God’s creation. When you begin to know God, you know He has called you by name, and the ways of the world pale in comparison to Him. All you need is what God speaks to you. He has called each one of us. Sometimes you have to speak directly to the things that cause you to go astray and take them captive.

These arguments, negative words, and influences are even stronger and more prevalent during transitions. You can’t live in the soul realm (mind, will, and emotion). You have to live according to the Spirit.

So, how do you do that?

You do it by crucifying the flesh EVERY SINGLE DAY. And if you fail, you repent and start again immediately.

When you know what you shouldn’t be doing, then don’t compromise. Compromising can grow, and you’ve lost your faith before you know it. And what causes us to compromise is different for each of us. Remember, our greatest strength can also be our greatest weakness when we let the enemy in that door.

We even have to bring our strengths and giftings into the ways of God. And we have to talk to God and pray in the Spirit when we don’t know what to say. That’s why it’s essential to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. You can pray directly to God even when you don’t know what to say…God will hear your precious words, and the enemy won’t be able to understand.

Be separate and steady. Don’t go back to Egypt. Remember what was there and how it crushed you. Remember how God is always there for you.

Win your thought life, and you will win in so many other areas.
