Made on Purpose for a Purpose

We were made on purpose for a purpose. God’s plan and design for you is to fulfill His purpose.

When bad things happen, we wonder how that fits into His purpose for our life. Yes, the wages of sin is death, but God’s promise is His Glory in eternity.

Remember the Lord spoke to Jeremiah, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

Jeremiah, like us, didn’t think he could fulfill that calling because he was a child. But the Lord did not give up on him.

“They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the LORD.

What can we learn from this?

When you are called – you are called. So embrace what you are called to do and stop the comparisons. Apply what we learn in Proverbs,

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your understanding.

Your mind is what talks you out of what you are called to do. So in everything you do, acknowledge God. He will make your path straight.

There are examples all around us, just like the story of King David. Samuel the prophet saw so much more in David. He paid attention to what God saw in David. Like Samuel, we should pay attention to those that are out “tending to the sheep.” We should pay attention to those that have wrestled with God and have prevailed. Those that have been doing what they were called to do. Watch how God uses them!!

Often it’s the giants in our lives that cause us to step into our purpose. You may be wondering about all the giants in your lives, and for that matter, in our nation, but there will be a moment when God will put His finger on your life – so you can fulfill your purpose.

In your “now” season, be sure to humble yourself and thank God. Be faithful with what He has put in your hands.

Life isn’t what you make of it – it’s what God makes of it.

Will you turn your life over to Him and walk into your purpose?
