Press Release – 9/16/2020

Center City Church has announced that it is now extending its City Blessings into the remainder of 2020. The next food giveaway will be held this Saturday, September 19th, from 10 am until supplies run out in the parking lot across from the Brownstone. Anyone in need is welcome.

Through the remainder of 2020, Center City Church will announce dates and times of the upcoming blessings on their Facebook page.

Pastor Jim Kilmartin shared, “We are excited to continue blessing the city. Our food giveaways have been a great opportunity to see volunteers and organizations join together. We expect to announce additional blessings and new services as we move fully into the Brownstone.”

Center City Church has also announced its temporary (service) location in the historic Mishler Theatre, as renovations continue at 1220 12th Avenue. The church will be welcoming nationally-recognized executive coach and Pastor, Patrick Kiteley, this weekend, as well. He will be delivering a special message to youth, young adults, and their families at 7 pm, on the 19th, and during our Sunday service at 10 am on the 20th. Both events will be held at the Mishler. Center City now has the opportunity to use their old location at 801 Pleasant Valley Blvd, 16602 as a Learning Hub for students, grades K-12. The Learning Hub will provide a safe, Christian alternative for working parents who need somewhere for their children to learn virtually, or those looking for an alternative education opportunity. For more information, parents are asked to email info@centercityaltoona.com or call 814-201-2454

Jim went on to share, “We’ve just entered into a special 52 days of prayer and fasting this past Sunday, the 12th, and we invite all to join us. We hope that City Blessings, and having Patrick Kiteley in Altoona, will help to spread the word and encourage others to join us during these 52 days leading up to the election. We believe that joining together in united prayer is necessary right now. The more that participate in prayer for our city, our nation, and our President, the better. “
